Conversion Support Center

This page includes important information about the upcoming conversion, key dates, possible changes to your account, and actions you may need to take.

What the Conversion Means for You

In the upcoming months, we are implementing two changes that will prepare the bank for the future and provide you with a truly exceptional banking experience — today, tomorrow, and for years to come.

  • We are upgrading our core banking system. This will provide you with more control over your accounts, improved security, and an enhanced overall banking experience — both online and in person.
  • The Bank of Orrick (TBO) will become TBO Bank. The name change reflects our continued commitment to our valued customers and the Orrick community, as well as an opportunity to grow and evolve to better serve you. This means being able to offer you enhanced products and services, as well as helpful new resources for easily managing your finances.

We also want to make sure you know about two very important things that are staying the same:

  • The people you know and trust will still be here. Our experienced, knowledgeable bankers are already the best, and you can expect those friendly faces you know and trust to continue to be here to serve you.
  • Your routing and account numbers will stay the same. You can keep using your existing Bank of Orrick checks after the conversion, and any automatic debits or direct deposits utilizing your existing routing and account number will continue to process.

How You Can Prepare

Please read the following information in its entirety. It contains important details about the conversion, including what will be changing and what will be staying the same.

We’ve also created a one-page checklist you can download or print to keep track of key dates and specific actions you can take for a smooth transition. Conversion Checklist >>

DEBIT CARDS

All customers will receive a new TBO Bank debit card in the mail around the third week of September.

This new chip-enabled, contactless debit card offers additional security and protection against fraud, as well as new features like Tap to Pay and Digital Wallet.

Here’s what you need to know:

Before Friday, October 4

CONTINUE USING YOUR EXISTING BANK OF ORRICK DEBIT CARD
You can continue to use your existing Bank of Orrick debit card to make purchases or obtain cash from an ATM through Sunday, October 6.

RECEIVE YOUR NEW TBO BANK DEBIT CARD
Around the third week of September, you will receive a new TBO Bank debit card in the mail. You will also receive a separate mailing containing your new PIN (personal identification number). For security reasons, the envelopes will have no reference to the bank or card vendor and will likely arrive on separate days, so please keep an eye out for them. When you receive your new debit card, put it in a secure place so that you are ready to activate it on Monday, October 7.

During the Conversion Weekend (October 4-6)

You can continue using your existing Bank of Orrick debit card through Sunday, October 6, and the Bank of Orrick ATM will be operational over the weekend. However, lower withdrawal and purchase limits will apply during the conversion weekend, so please plan ahead if you anticipate needing to make a significant purchase or access a large amount of cash.

Starting Monday, October 7

ACTIVATE YOUR NEW TBO BANK DEBIT CARD
After 8:00am on Monday, October 7, you can activate your new TBO Bank debit card, using the instructions provided in the mailing or by calling 888-227-3096. Your existing Bank of Orrick debit card will be deactivated at the end of Sunday, October 6, so please bring it by the branch so we can safely shred it.

UPDATE ANY RECURRING PAYMENTS
Your debit card number will change. Therefore, if you have recurring payments attached to your old debit card number, you will need to update them with the new number. Your bank statement is a good resource for identifying these transactions.

Online Banking

As part of the conversion, we are upgrading our online banking platform. Here’s what you need to know:

Before Friday, October 4

The existing Bank of Orrick Online Banking website will continue to be available until 3:00pm on Friday, October 4.

ONLINE BILL PAY
The last day to schedule or set up a payment in the existing online banking system will be September 30 (with payment dates available through October 4). Any bill scheduled to pay past October 4 will NOT be paid and will need to be set up in the new system. All automatic debits using your routing and account number will continue to process after the conversion.

Bill Pay information will NOT convert over to the new system. To help with recreating this information in the new system, you can print out a list of your payees, payment amounts, and due dates, as well as any payment history you’d like to retain.

RECURRING TRANSFERS
Recurring transfers currently set up through Online Banking will NOT convert to the new system. Please make a note, take a screen shot, or print out the details of any recurring transfers to assist with setting them up in the new online banking platform.

ONLINE STATEMENTS
Previous statements will NOT transfer to the new online banking system. Therefore, if you would like to have copies for future use, such as tax purposes, please download or print them from online banking before 3:00pm Friday, October 4. Copies of previous statements can be obtained from the branch for a nominal fee.

DURing the Conversion Weekend (October 4-6)

Online banking will be unavailable from 3:00pm on Friday, October 4 through 8:00am on Monday, October 7.

Starting Monday, October 7

ACCESS THE NEW ONLINE BANKING SITE
Starting Monday, October 7, you will access online banking by visiting the new TBO Bank website (tbobank.com) and clicking the “Log In” button at the top of the page. If you have saved or bookmarked the existing online banking site, you will need to delete it and add the new URL.

LOG IN FOR THE FIRST TIME
To log in for the first time, you will use your existing online banking username. For security reasons, you will need to reset your password. Your temporary password will be the last 6 digits of your SSN (or EIN for businesses). The first time you log in, you will be prompted to change your password.

You are welcome to utilize your previous password or take advantage of the opportunity to create a new one. This new password will also be used to log in to the new mobile banking app.

SET UP ONLINE BILL PAY AND RECURRING TRANSFERS
You can quickly set up your online bill payments and recurring transfers in the new online banking using the information you downloaded from the previous system. Any automatic debits using your routing and account number will continue to process after the conversion.

MOBILE Banking

As part of the conversion, we are launch a new mobile banking app. Here’s what you need to know:

Before Friday, October 4

You can continue using the Bank of Orrick Mobile App until 1:00pm on Friday, October 4. At that point, the app will be deactivated and users will be unable to access mobile banking to review accounts or make mobile deposits. To prevent confusion, please delete the Bank of Orrick Mobile Banking App.

Starting Monday, October 7

DOWNLOAD THE NEW MOBILE APP
On Monday, October 7, you can download the new TBO Bank Mobile Banking App in the App Store or Google Play.

HOW TO LOG IN
The new TBO Bank Mobile Banking App uses the same credentials as Online Banking.

  • If you have already signed in to the new Online Banking and reset your password, that is the username and password you will use for the Mobile Banking App.
  • If you have not yet signed in to the new Online Banking, first use your current username and temporary password (the last six digits of your SSN, or EIN for businesses). You will be prompted to reset your password, which you can then use to also access Online Banking.

ACCOUNT UPDATES

ACCOUNT ENHANCEMENTS

CHECKING ACCOUNTS
Rather than having three interest-bearing checking accounts with the same benefits and interest rate, we are consolidating our NOW and Super NOW account types into Basic Checking with Interest. Paper statement fees will continue to be waived for NOW and Super NOW accounts.

Since Regular Checking and Basic Checking accounts have the same terms, Regular Checking will be consolidated into Basic Checking.

SAVINGS ACCOUNTS
As a community bank, we feel your savings account should not require a minimum balance. Therefore, we are consolidating Regular Savings accounts into Statement Savings accounts. In addition, we are removing the minimum balance requirement and related account maintenance fee. We are also changing the maximum withdrawals from 3 per month to 9 per quarter. A fee will be assessed beginning on the 10th withdrawal each quarter.

Statements will still be received at the end of each quarter, with interim statements for each month in which there is electronic activity.

STATEMENT SCHEDULES

NEW STATEMENT SCHEDULES
Depending on the type of account, you may have a new statement schedule starting in October:

  • Personal Checking and Money Market account statements will be sent on the 15th of each month.
  • Business account statements will be sent on the last business day of each month.
  • Savings account full statements will continue to be sent at the end of each calendar quarter. If the account has electronic transactions, an interim statement will be provided monthly.

OCTOBER STATEMENTS
You will receive two statements in October:

  • All customers — whether enrolled in e-statements or not — will receive a printed Bank of Orrick statement in the mail for all activity from their last statement through October 4.
  • You will receive a second statement from TBO Bank for activity from October 5 through October 15 for any personal checking and money market accounts. Business account statements will be sent at the end of the month. All statements going forward will be from TBO Bank.

If you are currently enrolled in e-statements, you will receive this second statement, and all future statements, electronically.
